# Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how **MeetBurn** (the “App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

**Last updated:** May 19, 2026

---

## 1. Introduction

MeetBurn is a meeting cost calculator and meeting timer app. It estimates meeting costs based on elapsed time, participant hourly rates, and related inputs you provide.

This policy explains:

- What data is stored on your device
- What data may be sent to third-party services
- Your choices and rights

We do not operate a user account system for the App, and meeting content you enter is not uploaded to our own servers.

---

## 2. Data Controller

The App is provided by **JobFight LLC** (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at:

- **Support:** <https://jobfight.co.jp/contact>

---

## 3. Information Stored on Your Device Only

The following information is stored **locally on your device** (using on-device storage such as SQLite and SharedPreferences). It is **not synced to our servers** and is **not transmitted to us** as meeting content.

| Category | Examples |
|----------|----------|
| **Meeting data** | Meeting title, start time, duration, target duration, timer state, total cost, notes, session data |
| **Participant data** | Participant names (if you enter them), hourly rates per participant |
| **Presets** | Saved meeting configurations (name, participant count, hourly rates) |
| **App settings** | Currency symbol, decimal places, notification preferences (time/cost thresholds), display language |
| **Onboarding state** | Whether the first-time guide has been completed |

You can delete meeting history and presets within the App. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data on your device removes locally stored information.

---

## 4. Information Collected or Processed by Third Parties

When you use the App, certain third-party services may collect or process information as described below. We use these services to operate, improve, monetize, and protect the App.

### 4.1 Usage Analytics — Firebase Analytics (Google)

When Firebase is enabled in the App, we use **Firebase Analytics** to collect **aggregated, pseudonymous usage data**, such as:

- App opens
- Screen views (screen names only — not meeting titles, notes, or participant names)
- In-app events (e.g., onboarding shown, completed, or skipped; aggregate parameters such as page count or source)

This data is used to understand how the App is used and to improve stability and features. It is not used to read your meeting content.

- Google Privacy Policy: <https://policies.google.com/privacy>
- Firebase Privacy: <https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy>

### 4.2 App Configuration — Firebase Remote Config (Google)

We use **Firebase Remote Config** to retrieve non-personal app settings remotely, such as:

- Minimum supported app version
- Recommended app version
- Maintenance mode flag
- Links to the App Store or Google Play

This data does not include your meeting content and is not used to identify you personally.

### 4.3 App Integrity — Firebase App Check (Google)

We use **Firebase App Check** to help verify that requests come from genuine App instances and to reduce abuse. App Check is used for security purposes and does not access your meeting data.

### 4.4 Advertising — Google AdMob

The free version of the App may display **banner advertisements** served by **Google AdMob**.

AdMob and its partners may collect or receive information from your device, which may include:

- Device identifiers (such as advertising ID, where permitted by your device settings)
- IP address
- App activity related to ad delivery and measurement (e.g., impressions, clicks)
- General device and diagnostic information

Ads are **hidden for active premium subscribers** (see Section 4.5). We do not provide your meeting titles, notes, or participant details to advertisers.

- Google Privacy Policy: <https://policies.google.com/privacy>
- How Google uses information from sites or apps: <https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites>

On iOS, you can limit ad tracking in **Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking**. On Android, you can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your Google account or device settings.

### 4.5 Subscriptions — RevenueCat; Apple App Store; Google Play

Premium subscriptions are managed through **RevenueCat**, which interfaces with **Apple App Store** (iOS) and **Google Play** (Android) for billing.

These parties may process:

- Purchase and subscription status
- Product identifiers and transaction-related metadata
- Anonymous or pseudonymous customer identifiers assigned by RevenueCat or the store
- Device and app information needed to validate purchases and prevent fraud

Payment card details are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. We do not receive or store your full payment information.

- Apple Privacy Policy: <https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/>
- Google Privacy Policy: <https://policies.google.com/privacy>

### 4.6 Device Permissions — Notifications

The App may request permission to send **local notifications** (e.g., when a meeting reaches a time or cost threshold you configure). Notification content is generated on your device based on your settings and active meeting state.

- If you deny notification permission, the App still works; notification alerts will not be shown.
- On Android 13 and later, the App requests the `POST_NOTIFICATIONS` permission when you choose to enable notifications.

We do not use notifications to collect meeting content for our servers.

---

## 5. Information We Do Not Collect

We **do not** require you to create an account, and we **do not** intentionally collect:

- Legal name, email address, or phone number through the App
- Precise location data
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
- Meeting content on our own backend servers

Participant names and meeting notes exist only on your device unless you voluntarily share them outside the App (e.g., by screenshot or export, if such features are offered).

---

## 6. How We Use Information

We use information as follows:

| Purpose | Legal basis (where applicable) |
|---------|-------------------------------|

## 7. Data Retention

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data processing terms.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the App.

---

## 9. International Transfers

Third-party providers (such as Google and RevenueCat) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those providers apply their own safeguards as described in their privacy policies.

---

## 11. Your Rights and Choices

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the App at your own risk regarding device loss or unauthorized access to your device.
